choices.

If I haven’t learned anything about life, I’ve learned that life boils down to the choices you make. More than likely, the predicament your currently in (good or bad) is a direct result of the choices you have made.

I am not the most decisive person. I am a hard-head who has to experience my mistakes firsthand just to realize it I knew better in the beginning. I’ve learned that knowing better is a lot easier than doing better.

I look at life as a maze. You meander your way through life until you hit a wall. It may be a one-way, a crossroad, or it might even be a dead end.

I think of it like this. The one-ways are when God is directly telling you which way to go. We all have those destined moments when we look up and ask ourselves how the heck was I so blessed to get to this point and all you can do is give God the glory because you know it was only Him that could have made it possible. Those are one-ways.

Then, we have those moments when we’re on the fence. Those times when you know what your gut is telling you, but doubt and fear begin to play their part. This “choice” is your crossroad. This is when God gives us the responsibility to choose to go left or right. I think God uses crossroads as our testers to see if we are brave enough to take a step out on faith. Crossroads are probably the most difficult decisions you have to face. They can take you higher or they can hinder you, depending on which way you choose to go.

Sometimes, you reach a dead end that forces you to stop, look around and gather yourself. Dead ends make you be still, recollect and retrace your footprints. Sometimes you have to take a few steps back in order to get back on the right track.

No matter how many times you went left when you should have gone right, we must keep pushing and focus on making it to the finish.
